Appraisals Reduce Employee Turnover


Employee turnover has become very common nowadays. So how can we overcome this problem, there are certain methods through which we can reduce turnover in our organization.

Often, many worthy employees decide to resign, two common practices adopted by managers in this situation are
1) Offer him packages and benefits
2) Conduct an exit interview, all this hardly works.

’Motivation' is the strongest weapon that can reduce the ratio of turnover and increase the productivity of the organisation. Replacing the employee proves expensive and it kills time also.

Studies show that reasons behind resignation are not monetary benefits, but the absence of motivation in an organization in the form of appreciation. There are many ways through which a manger can appreciate his employees:

  • Appreciate his performance.
  • Provide him with opportunity to participate in public affairs.
  • Provide training for the skills he lacks.
  • Provide some domestic benefits.

It’s not just enough to put the plan in front of the management, but also necessary to practice and work out on these plans as soon as possible. This will result in increasing productivity and reducing turnover of valuable employees.
