A leader plays important role in every field, specially in business. A leader instills confidence in others. For that, it is very important that he should have self confidence. He should be able to recognize the talents of his subordinates and utilise them for the growth of the organisation.

Communication is important for successful running of the business. A leader should have good communication skill because he is the one who gets information from top level management and has to pass it on to his subordinates. The leader should be easily available. He should have the ability to find impressive ideas to communicate.

A leader should be a skilled manager. He has to implement day-to-day operations and has the frontline responsibility for ensuring efficient and appropriate use of company resources, including equipment,employees and capital. A leader should be a talented person. He should be able to identify talent in his subordinates and put the same into use in the best possible ways. A leader should always be prepared to face any type of risks.

A leader should be a honest person. He should be aware of everything going in within the organisation and should be able to solve the problem his team is facing. He has the responsibility to check out the requirements of the team and fulfill it on time.

As team members are selected by the leader, it should be done very carefully because a team runs a business.The team members should appreciate each others skills. The leader should live up to the expectation of the management in this respect.

A leader should not get disappointed by any misconception. He should take the decision in favour of the organisation after listening to the views of his team members.

In conclusion, it can be said that a leader is central to the orgaisation. He can be considered as a pivot in the organisation as every organisation requires an efficient and effective leader.
