Avoid getting nervous:

Dressing inappropriately:
The first thing that gets noticed during the interview is your dress. Don't wear casuals and go for the interview. Try to know the culture of the organization and dress up accordingly. After all the way you dress up is a motivating factor for your first impression.

Avoid loud and extreme appearance:
Avoid being loud and extreme in your appearance. Wear a light perfume, and don\'t apply heavy make-up. In short, appear sober and decent so that the interviewer can focus on your skills and accomplishments, not your appearance.

Don't be late:
The worst impression you can ever give your interviewer is by arriving late for the interview.

This mistake can hamper the process of clearing the interview successfully. If you can\'t arrive on time then how dependable can you be as an employee. Reach the interview venue at least ten minutes before the given timings.

Not asking questions:
Don't get tongue-tied in front of the interviewer and sit like a bump on a log during your interview. Show interest by asking some questions about the company. In this way, your questions would be indicative of your interest in the position. If you don\'t ask questions, the interviewer might assume that you are not interested in the position and you won\'t accept the job offer if ever extended.

Lack of resume or vita copies
Don't forget to carry extra copy of your resume because it is obvious that the employer won't be having a copy of resume with him. At times employers conduct group interviews, so you should be prepared with a extra copies of resume to pass around.

Being unprepared for the questions
Be prepared with your answers in advance so that you don't get blank during the interview. In this way you will look confident and poised in front of the employer.

Avoid Dishonesty
The key to a successful career is truthfulness and honesty. Avoid lying and boasting yourself in front of the interviewer. Accept it, if you don't have the potential skills and accomplishments , then its not good to lie and win the position. Even if you get the job you might not be able to cope up with the nature of work. Thus, apply for a particular position only if your credentials are suitable for it.
