A major IT company in the telecom domain was faced with a dilemna. They required to recruit a team of 55 Java professionals within a time frame of 45 days. These people had to have necessarily minimum 4 years of experience, which meant the candidates were highly experienced. They also had a restriction that the people had to be from the domain. The issue was that they had already used the services of the online job portals and references of their current staff and had been able to recruit only 27 professionals at the end of 20 days. The first step that the consultant took was compile a list of companies working in the same domain. Once this list was ready, they tried to track down the major projects, specific to the domain, handled by the companies.
