1. First read the review very carefully, do not react immediately.
2. Now decide whether the review is fair or unfair on your part. If you feel it is unfair then check out the next step, but if you feel that it is a fair decision, then go to step 6.
3. If you strongly feel that the review that you have received is simply unfair on your part, then make it a point to meet the person who has written it.
4. Now that you are with the person, firstly, appreciate the right points written by him/her.

6. You have understood that the review is absolutely fair enough, then without a second thought accept your bad review and take it to be a path for you to learn which has been a learning experience for you.
7. Next, you have to meet your boss and ask him for tips to enhance your performance.
8. And keep in mind to have a paper record of everything right from the meeting till the end, which will help you to prove the efforts that you have made to improve your performance.
