1. To spend proper time
You should spend quality time with your team and the quantity does not matter. Even if you spend 2 minutes of quality time everyday, it is better than spending one hour every year. Your team should know you well and you must know your team well. You will be able to understand them better and the way they are performing. The team will also feel that you care about them and you are there to solve their problems.
If quality time is spent, their quality of performance also improves. The team finds this to be very motivating for themselves. The system for solving their problems at the earliest will also be developed. This will build up the attitude of the team as well.
2. Provide them with a feedback
Each of your team member must be informed whether they are performing well or not. About 60% to 65% % of the employees in US last year did not get any consideration about their work and performance. This is the situation all over the world and it is in fact worse in several countries.
Some managers feel that why should they praise the employees for the work for which they are already being paid. It is also essential to inform the employees when they are not poerforming properly. Certain managers simply ignore the poor perormance of the employees and do not take any notice of it. There are several methods of giving feedback to the employees and to guide them for action.
3. Believe in your employees
To empower your employees means to use their behaviour, talent and experience for a positive reason. Most of the people in the world who are there in such teams and companies are not well utilized. The team has got a lot of things to provide the company with, but it is only when they are utilized well. In this way you will also motivate them.
