- Try to know maximum possible things about the company prior to go for the interview. Specially about their products and services, their ways of management, their cultures and the way they dress and similar other things. The best sources to get information are, career service centre, related colleges and the best of all, the Internet.
- You should practice your interviews with others like your family members or friends or simply in front of the mirror. Several career centres provide with workshops, or even coaching. At times they even provide you with artificial interview videos etc.
- It is important for you to think upon how does the experiences of yours have relation with your job search.
- Adjust your time in such a way that you have extra time for getting to the company, also check out the time required to reach the company beforehand.
- Decide upon your outfit for the interview as well as reassuring that clothes have been pressed, shoes have been well polished and also your hair are perfectly set.
- You should carry extra copies of your resumes and along with that you must carry your list of references as well.
- Your speech should be clear and slow for the interviewers to understand well and try not to be very nervous or scared in front of the interviewers.
- You must also be true to yourself and others and not hide your mistakes from them.
- Try to be positive. Think that the interview is a source of learning for you whether you are applying for the right job or not.
- Request the interviewer to give you a business card and do send a formal thank you note as soon as possible.
