Tips For Managers To Train Their Employees


When you become employees you realize the importance of training your employees and it also becomes a major part of your job. When you become the incharge of organizing and encouraging other employees, the size of organization does not matter. You have to train your employees on regular basis.

Training an employees is specific skills for a manager, which they do not realize. Sharing information and guiding people are two different things. If you are training your employees than you have to focus on information which motivates them and help them to understand what you are saying. So they will be enable to apply those information in their job.

3 ways to train the employees successfully.

1.Identify your training responsibilities: Some managers think that training an employees is not their job. In some companies they have training incharge, the person who hold supervisory is responsible for training and development of an employees.

It is the responsibility of a manager to know whether their employees have all the skills required to perform their work. If he gets success in providing managerial duties to his employees about the policies and procedure of the company and industries standards. And recognizing them the need for training and make sure that it is available to an employees who need it.

2.Engaging themselves in ongoing employees skills development: Responsibility of training an employees is not as simple as work procedure and sending employees to classes when they require new skills. Effective training process is an ongoing process which require their supervisor to engage themselves in skill development with their employees. Managers should understand the strengths and weaknesses of an employees and recognize the gaps that can be filled through training opportunities.

Once the information is covered with the employees, then training has occurred. Training session does not mean that the employees has all knowledge and skills required for job. Supervisors must take some steps to allow employess to show training objectives, to offer feedback, and provide them with additional skill development activities as per their need.

3.Convey “what's in it” for the trainees: For training the employees successfully, trainees must know the activity which they may be asked to participate in is relevant to them. When training is started, be sure to specify which employees should participate. Intelligent trainers know that employees see what is in it for them, to achieve success.

Don\'t convey ideas to the employees because it is important for the company and supervisor. Employees participate in training because they have to do so but not like to do it. Those who understand that how new skills benefits their job are much more likely to be engaged in learning process and apply those skills in their job.
