How To Place Your Previous Skills


When you are making a resume, you need to remember all the position you held and the skills during the your career. Does not matter if you have worked for two months or two years, make sure you highlight your skills and training in your resume. And show your potential employer that you have the skills which they require if they want to hire you. But sometimes you don\'t know which one to highlight and which to not? Here are some tips on how to highlight your skills on resume:

Important skills: If you have any specialize skills such as you know some specific computer program, or you know how to take an x-ray, these are highly specialized skills and need to be write in your resume. Any important skills, no matter you need that in this position or not. This will show your potential employers that you have the ability to learn the specialized skills, if required in this position.

Specific job skills: If your previous job has taught you specific skills which is required in the job you are applying for. For example, if you are applying for an accountant position and you use to do accounting in your previous job. Than don\'t forget to highlight your skills which you already have. This show your employer that you does not need much training because you already have knowledge about it.

Special certification: If you have earned any special certification in your previous job, list them in your resume. Show them to your employer even if it does not require in the position you are applying for, it will help your employers to understand you that you are interested in going ahead. They will come to know that you need training in special area, you may be the person that they are looking for.

Simple skills: Certain simple things like basic knowledge about computer, machinery that you can operate, or any thing that is required in day-to-day basis for this position. You don\'t need to specify it in each area, but you can list them below, to show your employer that you know the basic needs and they won\'t need to give you any extra training.

Remember highlight those skills to your potential employer that you have already practiced. This will be easier for you to jump into the right position. This will also help you to stand over other candidates.
