1.Invariable hierarchies: Leaders always comes on the top level and they need to keep themselves updated with all information. So they can be able to answer the employees and take the decisions. Actually in organization knowledge and expertise is spread among all the people. But is on the leader who leads and the people who follow them get frustrated because their knowledge and expertise is ignored.
2.Fail to make corrective decision: Most of the times leaders cannot make better decision than the followers, and they constantly make worse decisions. It is not necessary that leaders can only make the best decisions. Instead distribute the responsibilities to different people, than we can make our decision making strategies more effective.
3.Vast difference in payroll: Leaders are hated by their follower, because there is vast difference in their salaries. And more salary means more status, and they also think that they should be treated as god just because they are paid high. They also think that they have the right to rule over their followers.
4.Hopeless standards for leaders: Just because of the huge pay and great demand, followers expect too much from their leaders. These includes unity, firmness, humility, competence etc. The leaders can be good in one or two of these, it is not possible to have all the qualities in one leader.
5.Climb the smooth pole: The promotion of the leaders is done by their bosses, but not the person below them. So it is only necessary for bosses to impress their bosses.
6.Disaffection: As the result of all above points the feeling of alienation naturally comes in the followers , which reduce their productivity and motivation.
