Employee Empowerment

In this wide spectrum we need to know our employees, ourself, and the project well enough. For the success of your new employees, you must empower him. Here are some point on how to empower your employees:

Confidence:

Before placing the employees in the position, you mus be confident that he has the skills, knowledge ,resources, and experience required for the job. You should express that to the employees.

Clear expectations

Provide the employees with the information of what to do and what the department goals are. Set clear expectations in front of employees. Delegate them the authority, so that they can make their own decisions.

Communication

Ongoing communication is important so that you and the employee are always in synchronize. It shares awareness of problems or changes. Alert the company and give the news that effects the department, upcoming projects and sales.

Commitment and support

You have committed the success of the employees and all the people in the company knows that. You have to guide the employees without doing their job. Do not check up on the employees by taking their complaints as valid. Because you want them to work on proper channels and do not allow them to go over your head.

Measuring

By establishing metrics in advance, it makes clear what are the departments and company standards. It makes easy to determine the goals.

Accountability

You hold the accountability of an employees. The employee is responsible if he does not achieve his targets. You are there only to give him advice, position and guidance, but the employees can handle it and find the solution. Do not interrupt, let him do his work. Because they learn new things from the problem.

The degree of communication depends upon the employees position, skills, level of experience etc. As the employees develops and get success, you can provide the employees with little more freedom which give them wing to rise.
