The star performers achieve the goals and grasp new organizational missions.These employees are technically superior.But like the other employees star performers also have a dark side.Because sometimes these expert people stick to their own ideas and way of thinking.They do not allow the fresher to generate their ideas.At many points it is better to work with less competent persons.They also have new ideas.We can trust them also.

Leaders should follow these tips to resolve the star performer issues:

1.Hold the responsibility for what they do and how they do it:

It is very difficult to deal with the star performer.How employees treat each other is important just like their performance ability.T

2.Watch out team wise performance,instead of just star performers:

Top performers always get the appraisals from top management,that creates an inferior feeling among the others who supported them.So the whole team should be appreciated for the work done by them.

3.Use 360 tools as a feedback:

A star performer needs to know the effects of their negative behavior.Using 360 tools means holding a mirror in front of star performers,so that they can see the results for their own actions.It is also necessary to have direct feedback session with the star performer.

4.Expectation should be set for appropriate behavior for all employees during the selection process:

In the selection process conduct assessments to determine if a applicant is a team player,then how he or she responds to recognition.

5.Manager responsible for helping the star performer to change their behavior:

Almost every star performer does their work excellently.But sometimes when they behave wrong,the manager should guide them to change their behaviour.

6.Focus on interpersonal skills:

Star performers have come up with ranks many times because of their productivity.But at the same time they neglect their interpersonal relations.They should understand the need to create relationships.Priorities should be given to Social activities like lunch with business associates,and e-mail communication should be reduced.
