Reducing Resentment While Hiring New Employees


Some small business treat their employees as a family.But at certain points this family feelings are tested,especially when new employees are hired.When the new employees are hired,current employees feel insecure regarding their salary and position.

There are five ways which will reduce unpleasantness when new employees are hired:

Employees in the small organization have strong attachment with the company.Communicate with the current employees before hiring a new employee.They can help you about,what position should be filled and in which department a new employee should work.This is first thing to reduce employees resentment.

  1. When direct impact is given on job description and responsibilities of current employees during hiring new employees.Then it assures the existing employees that their positions are safe.And make sure a new hire employee should realize the value of existing employees.

  1. If you are hiring person for supervisory position,then give a chance to your current employees first.If you don\'t provide the chance of advancement to your current employee,you will loose their confidence.

  1. As a new employee becomes a part of your team,give input to existing team for actual hiring decision.

  1. Never consider that if a new employee begins working,there will be no conflicts in the company.Talk with experienced employees daily as new worker begins to work.Don\'t just let your time go,but find out if any employees resentment is building among the team or individual.
