But now the HR professionals play a crucial role of a strategic collaboration, a counsellor, an employee advocate and the most important work of a change agent and contribute towards the organizational goals, planning and objectives. To be a lovable HR professional four C's are require i.e., communication, care for employees, coaching and counselling.
1. Communication:
Communication is very important for an individual to become a lovable HR professional for either employees or management. HR person should convey the ideas clearly to the right person and in appropriate manner. HR person should use the best effective method to express the information to employees and management. The information should be complete, timely and relevant.
Now the employees have become very sophisticated. They want to know each and every rule and regulation of the company. And want to be a part of business planning and decision. To fulfil these expectations, communication is a powerful tool with HR person.
2. Care for Employees
Employees’ positive attitude is good for success of the business. HR person should take care of employees’ personal issues, problems and grievances. He should motivate the employees and appreciate their performance, and always be ready to help them or solve their work related queries. Employees should be provided with healthy work environment.
3. Coaching
Coaching processes should focus on job performance. It helps the employees to establish their personal short term goals and objectives that are identical with the goals and objectives of the organization. In this process HR should guide, educate and support the employees to achieve their goals and objectives.
4. Counselling
In this process the employees learn, how to solve their emotional, interpersonal and behavioural issues. Every individual cannot manage the stress in his / her life, at home or at office. But he /she cannot run away from the responsibilities. This situation gives rise to stress and HR professionals can teach them how to cope with this stress and manage other additional issues of life. HR professionals have to counsel effectively, in order to manage the change easily.
We can conclude that HR professionals who manage the four C's properly can prove to be the heart and soul of the company and they are called lovable HR professional. They add value to the organization.
