Time Saver Tips At Workplace


1. Use 80/20 rule: The basic aim behind this rule to give prioritization to focus on important work which gives you high returns. Give 80% value to 20% of your task.

2. Avoid too much: If you work on too many project at same time, your entire energy and time will go in those projects. You may not be able to make meaningful progress on any of them. Time management often requires focus on smaller set of objective and a meaningful result.

3. Use your energetic time: In first half of the day we feel vigorous and then we feel tired. So do your complicated and important task during first half or when energy level is high. After that, take care of the work which has low priority.

4. Save your important file only: Every business has 60-80% of files which are never open by the people. Save only those which are useful and throw out, this is of no use.

5. Urgent vs. Important tasks: The most important principle is that important things are not always urgent, and urgent things are not always important. If you do weekly planning and maintain a balance between the long term projects and more pressuring matters, it would be easy for you to prioritise accordingly..

6. Keep your desk clean: Too many things on the desk create distraction in your work. So keep the necessary things and avoid things which create distraction.

7. Relax for sometime: Along with the work, rest is also necessary. When you relax, you will find you are spending your time wisely and you will enjoy your work.

8. Avoid over schedule your plans: By over loading your schedule, you are increasing your stress. It creates a room for error.

9. Group your task accordingly: Perform your tasks batches wise, it helps you to save your time.

10. Weekly planning routine: Setting up a weekly planning routine will help you to mange your time. Give time to your pending tasks and create a plan for the upcoming week.
