Gender bias is the matter of capability, career advancement and recognition. Women are facing high degree of gender difference when it comes to career. The general perception is that, women are less capable than men in business and decision making. But almost every analytical studies have prove this perception wrong and have established that women and men have equal capacity to work.
Is gender difference affecting womens’ career?
Still three-fourth of women believes that, it is hard for womens to advance in their workplace. Even women can perform at top levels, but we get to see very less percentage of them in top levels. Corporates can contribute to reduce women struggle by the following ways:
1. Efficiency and capability can be judged on the basis of performance and not on the basis of gender.
2. Give equal opportunities for men and women in the organization
3. Avoid gender differences in recruiting.
4. Avoid differences in payroll.
In the present scenario also, women are still fighting for reducing gender bias. The solution to change the mindset of people is to give equal and respectable opportunity for women. No one knows when such a change will take place!!!
