BackTips To Raise Your Visibility At Workplace
Employees have the right to talk to their supervisor, at least once in three months, about the issues such as development and career growth. No matter if the other employees don’t practice this, you have the right to ask about development of your career and visibility at work.
- Ask for some responsible assignments, so that you can prove that you deserve them. Provide your manager with some new ideas and contribute towards departmental efficiency or creating new process.
- Volunteer to represent your department during meeting or projects. Such activities are noticed by the bosses. You can expand your talent outside your own work area by working on cross-functional teams. This increases the chances of promotion later on.
- Maintain a good relation with your boss. Don't make fake request, but answer by telling the boss your ideas and suggestion during general interactions. You don't have to share private life with your boss or co-workers, but a friendly and supportive relationship is important for success and visibility.
- If some of your skills are not used in your current job, look for the opportunity you can utilize those skills .This opportunity helps in company exposure and broadens your organization's thinking about what you can do.
By practising such activities, you can make yourself visible at workplace. This will help to get you to success.
