A FMCG Retail and trading Company is seeking to hire purchase executives for its Bombay branch.

The Company is a full service retailer and wholesale supplier in the food services and FMCG segment. The Company deals with food, non-food and specialty products to over 250 premier customers all over India, apart from its retail customers. The Company trades in various specialty items, agri-commodities, precious metals from South East Asia, Australia and Europe. The Company has been servicing its customers at Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Coimbatore, Pondicherry (and soon expanding to many other cities in India and outside) through its large-scale warehousing and distribution centers.

The job profile is mentioned hereinbelow for your perusal:
• Responsible for all procurement activity.
• Responsible for maintaining adequate MBQ levels based on sales forecast at
• DC.
• Initiate vendor development, shortlist vendors. Classify major & minor vendors.
• Maintain relation with large vendors and improve margins.
Check all Indents on daily basis, which are received from Marketing, and ensure fulfillment.
• Initiate process of vendor development, Short listing and registration, with at least three vendors per SKU/Sub category for commodity categories.
• Collect market information for prices, inflows and availability of item
• Conduct vendor negotiations on behalf of company.
• Conduct surprise audits on vendors for consistency in quality, Adherence etc.
